On the reef, candy cane coral is green or brown and has never been mistaken for a holiday decoration. The Orange Candy Cane Coral is less certain about that. Its ceramic cluster of round, ridged heads, 4.25 inches across and 2 inches deep, is glazed in a warm orange that deepens toward burnt in every groove. The stripes come from the shaping, not paint, and hold their contrast from across a room. Hung on one screw, it stays exactly this cheerful all year without a drop of water.
