3/16" x 18' Tension Cable for West Coast Style Frame Tents
Cables like this one are used on West Coast style frame tents to give the structure extra support wherever the tent's length runs longer than its width. Clipping in with carabiners at both ends, this 18' cable pulls the peak tight across a longer run so the top doesn't sag into a low spot that collects rainwater.
Fits standard West Coast style frames from most major manufacturers.
Why This Cable Matters
On longer bays, the tent top alone can't hold its shape under wind and rain load — it needs a cable pulling that tension back into the frame. Without it, the fabric sags a little more every season until a permanent low spot forms and starts collecting water on every rain event.

Installation Notes from Our Install Crews
Because this is a longer run, tension it gradually and evenly from both ends rather than pulling one side tight first — that keeps the frame square as the cable takes up load. Recheck it once the top is fully laced, since fabric settles slightly under full tension.
