The torpedo works differently from every other turn in our lineup. Instead of spreading mass evenly along the barrel, it concentrates weight in the natural impact zone, creating a larger, more forgiving sweet spot with explosive pop on balls that aren't perfectly centered. The weight sits closer to the hands than a traditional end load, so the bat stays quick and controlled. Thin handle, medium barrel, flared knob, balanced feel.
Hitters with a clean, disciplined swing who want to add pop without adding drag. The barrel tapers off the sweet spot, so it rewards staying through the ball rather than reaching for it.
The sections above and below the sweet spot are thinner than on a traditional turn, so we build the torpedo in dense maple only and recommend drop 2. At drop 3, break risk goes up on those thinner sections.
