The Storm Cloud Oracle transforms the imagery of superstition, folklore, and Gothic symbolism into a beautifully atmospheric 52-card divination deck. Bats, crows, coffins, spiders, and other traditionally ominous signs emerge from gathering clouds, each carrying its own story and message.

Created by jewelry designer and witch Clare Gregory of Bonearrow and illustrated by Maria Amaya, the deck grew from Gregory’s fascination with symbols that have long been feared, maligned, or misunderstood. Here, a bad omen is not necessarily something to fear. These familiar signs become invitations to look more closely at uncertainty, change, protection, resilience, and the strength we sometimes discover in difficult moments.

For all its Gothic imagery, The Storm Cloud Oracle is a surprisingly sweet and comforting deck. It does not try to push darkness aside or insist on finding an immediate bright side. Instead, it meets you where you are, offering reassurance without sentimentality and reminding you that difficult moments can be acknowledged without being faced alone. There is warmth beneath the clouds—and the promise that every storm eventually passes.

The new Orange Hippo! edition pairs 52 large glossy cards with a substantial 136-page guidebook, bringing Clare Gregory’s distinctive oracle to a wider audience in a beautifully produced and accessible new edition.
