Product Overview

Sharpen the front-end gaze and visual aggression of your V8 pony car with this Dry Carbon Fiber Headlight Eyelids Set. Custom-engineered specifically for 2024-Present Ford Mustang GT (S650) models, these eyelid covers add a track-inspired "evil eye" silhouette over the top margins of your factory LED headlights.

Aerospace-Grade Dry Prepreg Construction: Crafted using advanced dry prepreg carbon fiber technology, these eyelids are cured in an autoclave under high heat and pressure. This process eliminates excess resin, producing an ultra-thin, lightweight structure with superior tensile strength and resistance to thermal distortion.

Radiant High-Gloss Clear Coat Shield: The exterior surface features an authentic 3K 2x2 twill carbon weave pattern sealed beneath a thick, high-gloss UV-protected clear coat. This protective finish guards against road grit pitting, gravel chips, chemical exposure, and sun-induced yellowing.

Seamless GT 3D Scanned Fitment: Molded directly from factory S650 GT headlight CAD coordinates to deliver a smooth, second-skin profile. The seamless razor-thin edges lay completely flush along the headlight lens without creating bulky overhangs or interfering with output from the main LED projector beams and tri-bar daytime running lights.

Simple Non-Invasive Tape-On Setup: Outfitted for an effortless installation that requires no bumper removal or headlight disassembly. Overlays directly onto the upper headlight lens using heavy-duty automotive double-sided adhesive tape.

Key Features

2024-Up Mustang GT Fitment: Precision-engineered specifically for 2024-Present Ford Mustang GT models.
Exclusionary Fitment Note: Designed strictly for Mustang GT bumpers; strictly incompatible with EcoBoost and Dark Horse models due to front fascia variations.
Aerospace-Grade Dry Carbon Fiber: Manufactured from autoclave-cured dry prepreg 3K twill carbon fiber for ultra-lightweight strength.
Seamless Contour Profile: Custom 3D scanned from factory GT headlights to deliver a flush, second-skin fit without gap overhangs.
Radiant High-Gloss Clear Finish: Sealed beneath a UV-resistant high-gloss clear coat that protects against sun fading and yellowing.
Aggressive Front-End Styling: Sharpen the front fascia gaze with an evil-eye eyebrow silhouette that accents the S650 tri-bar LED lighting.
Non-Invasive Tape-On Installation: Mounts directly over upper headlight lens housings using heavy-duty automotive double-sided tape—no drilling required.
Zero Lighting Interference: Carefully engineered edge margins keep the primary LED projector beams and daytime running lights fully unobstructed.
Protects OEM Lens Margins: Shields upper headlight lens housing from rock chips, UV degradation, and road grit wear.
Complete Package Setup: Includes driver and passenger eyelids with pre-applied heavy-duty double-sided automotive adhesive backing tape.

Installation

These Dry Carbon Fiber Headlight Eyelids are designed for a direct tape-on overlay installation on compatible 2024-Present Ford Mustang GT S650 models.

Before installation, thoroughly clean the upper headlight lens surfaces with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, wax, grease, or other contaminants that could reduce adhesive strength.

Test-fit both eyelids before removing the adhesive backing to confirm proper driver-side and passenger-side positioning.

Once alignment is confirmed, peel the backing from the automotive double-sided adhesive tape and carefully position each eyelid along the upper edge of the factory headlight lens.

Press firmly across the entire mounting surface for approximately 60 seconds to help establish a strong adhesive bond.

No drilling, bumper removal, or headlight disassembly is required under normal installation conditions.

Installation manual is not included. Professional installation is recommended.

About Dry Carbon

Dry Carbon Fiber vs Wet Carbon Fiber — What’s the Difference?

Not all carbon fiber parts are made the same. The biggest distinction comes down to how the carbon is processed — commonly known as dry carbon and wet carbon. Both use genuine carbon fiber weave, but the production method, finish, and performance are completely different.

Manufacturing Process

Dry carbon fiber parts are produced using a pre-preg (pre-impregnated) carbon cloth, where the exact amount of resin is pre-applied by the manufacturer. These sheets are then vacuum-sealed and cured under high pressure and temperature in an autoclave, removing excess air and resin.
The result is a light, extremely strong, and precisely formed component — the same process used in motorsport and aerospace applications.

Wet carbon fiber, on the other hand, uses a hand-lay or wet-lay method. The carbon cloth is laid into a mold and liquid resin is manually brushed or poured over it before curing. Because it’s not vacuum-bagged or autoclave-cured, there’s usually more trapped resin and air pockets, leading to a heavier part and a less uniform finish.

Weight & Strength

Dry carbon fiber is roughly 30–50% lighter than wet carbon. This is due to the controlled resin ratio — just enough to bind the fibers without unnecessary weight.
By comparison, wet carbon or carbon-over-fiberglass parts can be up to 70% heavier, since excess resin and fiberglass layers add mass without increasing stiffness.
For reference:

Carbon Fiber Density: ~1.55 g/cm³
Fiberglass Density: ~2.6 g/cm³

Dry carbon also offers a much higher modulus of elasticity (~125 GPa), giving it outstanding rigidity under stress — ideal for aerodynamic and high-load components.

Visual & Structural Differences

Backside: A true dry carbon piece will look identical front and back — you can see the same woven pattern throughout.
Wet carbon or fiberglass-backed parts often have a dull, uneven underside with visible fiberglass texture or color variation.
Edges: Solid dry carbon has clean, uniform black edges.
Wet carbon or overlay parts may show a white or grey line along the edge, revealing the fiberglass underneath — sometimes hidden with black paint trim.
Finish: Dry carbon typically has a consistent matte or satin finish, while wet carbon can appear glossy but uneven due to hand-applied resin.
