Explore the fascinating world of thermochromic inks with this versatile test kit, featuring four unique black screen printing inks that reveal hidden designs with temperature changes. Perfect for experimentation and finding the ideal activation temperature for your project, this kit unlocks a world of possibilities with heat-sensitive materials.

Each ink appears black below its activation temperature and becomes translucent above it, making them ideal for concealing messages or images that magically appear as temperatures rise or fall. This all-purpose ink is suitable for a wide range of applications on textiles, paper, and board. Apply thin coats using screen printing or a thin foam roller, but avoid applying it too thickly or you will only get a white and cloudy appearance upon clearing..

SFXC thermochromic screen printing inks are reversible, offering countless uses with proper care. This kit's diverse temperature range opens up a spectrum of applications, from hot warning labels at 47°C to indicators for chilled drinks. Even the warmth of your hand (28/31°C) can activate the "Touch and Reveal" ink.

This kit includes 25ml of black thermochromic ink and 25ml of binder for each of the following activation temperatures:

  • 50ml Chill and Reveal (15°C): Watch your design appear as it cools!
  • 50ml Touch and Reveal (28°C): Activate the magic with the warmth of your touch.
  • 50ml Rub and Reveal (31°C): A gentle rub reveals the hidden image.
  • 50ml Heat and Reveal (47°C): Perfect for heat-sensitive warnings and indicators.

Simply mix the ink and binder in a 50/50 ratio to create 50ml of thermochromic screen printing ink per colour. One 50ml mix covers approximately one square meter (per coat).

This discounted test kit is ideal for those who can't decide which thermochromic ink is right for them. It's also an excellent resource for students to experiment with and showcase the amazing properties of smart materials.
