Crotons are tropical evergreen shrubs native to Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, widely celebrated for their incredibly colorful and varied foliage. Their leaves are typically thick, leathery, and glossy, displaying stunning mixes of yellow, orange, red, pink, and dark purple. The colors are highly dependent on the amount of light the plant receives. While they can produce small, inconspicuous white or yellow flowers on a drooping raceme, they are exclusively grown indoors for their decorative leaves. Popular cultivated varieties include 'Petra', 'Excellent', and 'Mammy'. Learn more about their care here!
