Designed as a rental shoe for shared climbing environments, Start Youth pairs the supportive fit and performance of Step Youth with increased durability for repeated use. A secondary layer of rubber across the front of the toe rand helps extend the life of the shoe, while snap-connecting heel pull tabs and laser-etched sizing at the center heel simplify storage and size identification in the gym. Its neutral last and very low-asymmetry toe shape provide a forgiving fit for growing feet, while a midsole at the toe adds support for edging without making the shoe overly stiff. The simplified two-pass strap opens the shoe fully for easy entry while allowing the fit to be secured with a single pull.
