The Sea to Summit Head Net [Permethrin] is a 30 g mosquito head net in soft black polyester mesh with 80 holes per cm², permethrin treated for an added layer of mosquito protection. It is wide enough to wear over a hat, closes at the neck with an elasticised drawcord and packs into a small stuff sack.
A fine mesh hood that drops over your head and hat and draws closed at your neck, so you can cook and pitch the tent at dusk with mesh between you and the mosquitoes.
Walkers, paddlers and campers who spend long evenings where mosquitoes are thick: the top end in the wet season, a mangrove creek on a fishing trip, a riverbank camp on the Murray in summer or a coastal walk at dusk. At 30 g, it can ride in a hip-belt pocket for the whole trip.
The mesh is sized for mosquitoes and most other flying bugs, with a mesh Sea to Summit designs for airflow in warmer climates. For sandflies and midges, choose a net with a finer no-see-um mesh.
Worn over a hat, it gives plenty of space between the mesh and your skin.
The standard Sea to Summit Head Net uses the same 80 holes per cm² mesh and neck drawcord without the permethrin treatment. Choose this treated version when you want that added layer of mosquito protection from the moment you unpack it.
