The Deuter Yort 15 is a clean, light daypack for everyday life: the commute, the weekend market, a coffee and a short walk on the way home. It brings the ventilated back from Deuter's bike packs to a bag you can carry anywhere.

Who it's for

People who carry a pack every day and want it to breathe on a humid Brisbane or Darwin morning. Deuter rate it five out of five for lifestyle use and three for hiking, so it handles a coastal walk at Burleigh Heads or Noosa as easily as the train to work.

Capacity, and what actually fits

15 litres takes a lunchbox, a drink bottle, a light jacket, a book or tablet, a wallet and keys. The pack measures 43 x 25 x 14 cm, slim enough for a crowded bus.

How it carries

The Airstripes back uses two padded strips with a channel between them and breathable 3D mesh on top, so only a small area touches you and air moves across most of your back. Padded ergonomic shoulder straps and a 2-way adjustable sternum strap keep it snug when you are walking quickly or riding.

Fitting it

The Yort 15 suits back lengths of 38-54 cm, which covers people about 158-195 cm tall, so one pack works for most of the household. Adjust the shoulder straps so it sits high and the sternum strap across your chest.

Access and organisation

A round arch zip opens the front of the main compartment wide, so you can see everything inside instead of digging. The recommended load of 3-6 kg keeps it comfortable for all-day carry.

Looking after it

The body is 210D recycled polyamide with a finish made without intentionally added PFAS, and the pack is bluepass and Green Button certified. Deuter cover it with a 2-year warranty.
