Philodendron ‘Black Cardinal’ is a striking, compact Philodendron known for its dramatic foliage. New leaves emerge in rich shades of burgundy to deep reddish brown before maturing to a dark, almost black-green color. Its broad, glossy leaves and upright, self-heading growth habit make it an excellent choice for adding deep color and contrast to a plant collection.

Plant Care

• Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. It can tolerate moderate light, but growth may be slower and foliage color may be less intense.
• Water: Allow the top portion of the soil to dry between waterings. Avoid keeping the soil consistently soggy.
• Additionally: Prefers moderate to high humidity and good air circulation. Rotate occasionally for more even growth and remove older leaves as they yellow.

Pet Safety: Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested.
