The "art of wind-catching" goes back as far as 150 A.D. All sorts of fabric banners, cloth or paper flags, canvas wind sails, windsocks, have been used to measure wind speeds and direction. Our reimagined, windsock-inspired design is a hand-painted striped flag using heavy, reclaimed boat sails and cut into a tapered pennant shape. They are a unique artifact truly informed and made by the wind.
Each flag is then topped with a natural twill tape and rustic grommets and stamped with Slightly Choppy branding.
