Get darkness in seconds with the Sleepout® Portable Blackout Curtain, a patented, damage free way to block light inside your window frame. No rods, drilling, tools, or permanent hardware required.
Choose the size that covers your visible window glass, then install vertically or horizontally using the locking suction cups and Velcro around every edge. For wider windows or unusual shapes, combine multiple panels for more coverage.
| Size | Dimensions | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Portable | 62" × 40" | Most windows, nurseries, travel, renters, and smaller bedroom windows |
| Portable XL | 86" × 54" | Large windows, tall windows, patio doors, dorm rooms, and larger bedroom windows |
The XL provides substantially more coverage in one lightweight panel, making it the best Portable option for windows that are too large for the standard 62" × 40" size. Measure only the visible glass, not the trim, and select a curtain larger than that glass area.
Made with Sleepout® 100% blackout fabric, no light passes through the fabric itself. Install it taut against clean glass and use the Velcro perimeter to help minimize edge gaps. It works behind existing blinds or curtains, so you can create a darker sleep environment without replacing your current window decor.
Sleepout® fabric is UL GREENGUARD Gold Certified for low VOC emissions and OEKO TEX® Standard 100. It is third party tested free from harmful phthalates and azo dyes, with zero lead detected. The lightweight fabric is designed to feel soft and flexible, not bulky or plastic like.
The white backing reflects sunlight to help manage heat and support a more comfortable room in summer and winter. The fabric can also help dampen outside noise, with up to 25 dB of reduction for higher pitched sounds such as voices and pets.
