The Story Behind the Forever Falling Design
“They say art imitates life, but sometimes art saves it. I wrote this song on my way out of a bad bout of depression. I was anxious all the time, drinking way too much, not eating. I was distant from my family — and I thought I was keeping it together. But that was only the beginning…”
I started seeing a therapist and was beginning to make progress. But then, on a trip out of the country, I had a bad accident and shattered my wrist in nine places.
That’s when I really fell apart. I was drowning. But I kept going to therapy, even when I didn’t want to. I needed healing for both my hand and my head. If I couldn’t play guitar anymore, I could still write music on a keyboard — and that became its own therapy."
