The Rush is Arc’teryx’s backcountry-first ski shell. It sits in the middle of the line, built specifically for skiers and riders who spend real time in the backcountry and need a jacket that holds up to sustained use without weighing them down on the way up.
The 2026 version makes the jump to Gore-Tex Pro ePE, the same expanded polyethylene membrane that Arc’teryx now runs across their most technical shells, including the Alpha SV. It’s thinner and lighter than previous Gore-Tex Pro iterations while retaining the same durability rating, which is why the Rush comes in at 485g. The 80-denier recycled nylon face fabric is the same denier as the previous version; the weight savings come from the new membrane rather than the face. Dope-dyed backer, fully PFAS-free throughout. Micro-seam allowance of 1.6mm reduces bulk and weight in the construction itself.
The StormHood is helmet-compatible and adjustable for full coverage without sacrificing peripheral vision. Snowsport-specific articulated patterning with no-lift gusseted underarms. Pit zippers for transition venting. Two chest pockets, two internal dump pockets. WaterTight zippers throughout. Die-cut Velcro cuff adjusters don’t catch or tear. RECCO reflector in the hood. No powder skirt.
Regular fit sits with room for layers without going baggy. True to size.
