Inspired by springtime nature and the sounds of bird calls, this lilting dance for string orchestra continually passes melodic material through the ensemble, giving every section an active, engaging role. Varied articulations, wide dynamic range, and flowing motion build energy toward a whirling finale. A refreshing choice for high school, it showcases ensemble interplay while offering a bright contrast of color and style within a concert program.
