The Washing Dries On It. When It's Shut, It's Hidden.
Sick of the clothes rack taking up space in your lounge room every time it rains? This one goes on the wall. Swing out as many of the five stainless rods as you need. They sit at stepped heights, so there is room between the rows: towels and jeans laid across, shirts and jumpers on their own hangers on the front rod. When the washing is dry, you fold it shut. The doorway is clear, and the wall goes back to being a wall.
It comes in two sizes, 80 and 100 cm wide, so there is one for the wall you can spare: the gap between the washing machine and the wall, above the laundry bench, a bathroom wall, the corner of a balcony. The rods are stainless steel, so sun and rain will not rust them. Shut, it is a slim flat panel, 10 cm high on the 80 and the 100. From across the room, it reads as a shelf.
