The Akari BB2-S1 pairs one of Isamu Noguchi's earliest designs for Akari light sculptures, a stone-like cast iron base and bamboo stem, with a shade designed over two decades later. Its distinctive mulberry bark washi paper shade features a hybrid of two shapes, globe and cylinder, made more unique by the presence of bamboo ribbing only on the globe form.
