The Akari 33N is among the wave of new Akari light sculptures that Isamu Noguchi designed in the 1960s. It features mulberry bark washi paper and irregular, widely-spaced bamboo ribbing. The shade's undulating form resembles the stacked triangular antiprisms of other Akari shades, but with organically curved lines between vertices.
