The Akari H is among the Akari light sculptures designed by Isamu Noguchi about a decade after the start of the series. It features mulberry bark washi paper and tight, evenly spaced bamboo ribbing. Its complex shape shares a formal language with the E, which Noguchi designed a handful of years before. The long cylinder curves, flares and recedes, creating a top ridge and a distinct ovoid almost-centered along its height.
