Penny™ Pro Deep Blue Viola is a hardy compact perennial with exceptionally tight branching and a neat, non-sprawling habit. Its semi-glossy, heart-shaped foliage forms a dense mound beneath large, fragrant deep blue flowers marked by tiny yellow eyes.
The flowers bloom primarily in spring and fall, providing seasonal color during the cooler parts of the year. The Penny Pro series is known for highly uniform bloom times, making this selection useful for creating a consistent display in beds, borders, and containers.
Penny™ Pro Deep Blue grows best in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. It can tolerate part sun, although flowering is generally strongest with more sunlight. In areas with hot summers, plants may temporarily go dormant and resume growth when cooler conditions return.
