Grand Parade™ Bee Balm is a compact herbaceous perennial with fragrant, rich green foliage and sturdy stems topped with whorls of distinctive fringe-like flowers. Its upright form and aromatic foliage add both texture and fragrance to perennial plantings.
Abundant bright lavender flowers bloom from early to mid summer, attracting bees, butterflies, and Ruby-throated hummingbirds. As a Monarda didyma cultivar, it also provides important habitat value as a native host plant for moths including Gray Marvel and Hermit Sphinx, making it an especially useful addition to wildlife and pollinator gardens.
Grand Parade™ grows best in full sun and well-drained soil, though it can tolerate part sun. Good drainage is important because root rot can occur in poorly drained soils.
