German Johnson Tomato is a Southern heirloom with beautiful dark pink fruits averaging around a pound and a distinctive, complex flavor with notes of citrus and melon that sets it apart from typical red beefsteaks. The plants are prolific, reliable, and produce abundantly all season, making German Johnson a beloved staple in the gardens of the American South where it's been grown for generations. Equally wonderful sliced fresh, layered into sandwiches, or cooked into a richly flavored sauce.
