Refresh and organise your pantry storage collection with a set of silicone drainage inserts designed for our best-selling 750ml Tallow Rectangle Glass Pantry Jars.  Practical and purpose-built, these inserts give your fridge and pantry storage a smart upgrade, helping you keep fresh produce drier, cleaner, and lasting longer, without adding another single-use container to your kitchen.

Key Benefits:

• Sold as a set of 2 inserts only, letting you expand your existing Tallow jar collection without buying a whole new set.
• Designed with drainage holes underneath the insert, keeping berries, fruits and vegetables lifted clear of collected moisture for longer-lasting freshness.
• Elevated feet on the base lift the insert clear of any pooled water, reducing sogginess and food waste.
• A handle on each side makes lifting and removing the insert from the jar quick and effortless, even with wet produce.
• Designed to fit our existing 750ml Tallow Pantry Jars, ensuring a reliable, snug fit every time.

Whether you're storing crisp salad greens, washed berries, or prepped veggies, these silicone drainage inserts are a simple, sustainable way to reduce food waste and keep your fridge storage working harder for you. A smart, functional addition for anyone looking to build a well-organised, low-waste kitchen.

Why we made this

• Food waste is a serious issue approximtely 300 kilos per person annually in Australia.
• Extending our "buy once, buy well" principle we wanted to increase the functionality of our best selling Tallows Pantry Jar Range.
• Our design process led us to questions like
  • What if Tallow Jars could do more than store dry goods?  Spoiler alert: many of the team use Tallows predominately in their fridge.
  • How can we maximise their usage and functionality?
  • What major challenges and issues do we face in our fridge with short life goods?

  • How can we reduce the environmental and household cost of food waste?
• Our Product Team developed prototypes made from LFBG Silicone to allow the jars to move from washing berries (a mandatory) to fridge storage that creates a functional layer between glass, food and reminant water with the smart "feet".

• After several rounds of revision we've settled on this custom, locally designed concept.
• It was important to us that the inserts were easy to store when not in use and hyper functional - they're designed to hold olives to fresh berries and beyond.
• Our custom designed perforations allow easy identification (at a glance) and make washing and storing food simple (ideal for meal prep).
• We added handles on both sides to allow the insert to be removed with ease - ensuring suitable clearance from the glass and silicone lid.
• Combining the Tallows Jar with insert and the exceptional lid seal - creates an airtight environment to prolong the life of fresh produce.
• The Silicone Inserts are suitable for handwashing or maximum convenience with dishwashing.
• As always we've thought of end of life for our products - the inserts are eligible for our Silicone Take Back Program (see more details below)
