Here's why we called it theScorch Marker Pro. It makes wood burning as easy as doodling on a foggy window 3 steps to perfection: draw, apply heat, gush over the result EEK! Made a mistake? Sand it away and start over! (yes, for real)
Plus, theScorch Marker Prois... Constantly being improved by our team Easy to use with 2 tips (bullet tip + foam brush tip) The safest and fastest way to burn wood Non-toxic and safe for food contact surfaces like cutting boards Permanent once burned 🔥
How To Use:
Prep your suface by sanding it smooth (more than 220 grit for best results)
Shake your marker and prime the tip - press the tip on a paper towerl (open the back cap to speed it up)
Apply your design. Draw freehand or use a stencil - blot away excess a little goes a long way
Remeber, only use a little bit!
Heat it up with a hot air tool or heat gun. (1500 watts or more, 300F or more)
Apply heat gradually, you can always add more heat. More heat = darker burn
Make a mistake? Sand it away.
Apply a finish to seal and pop the design (try Scorch Marker Finishing Oil)
HEAT ACTIVATED
The non-toxic chemicals in this marker are heat activated. To start, simply prep the surface with sandpaper, shake your marker, draw your design either with a stencil or free hand, heat with a heat gun or other heat source, and apply a wood finish to seal and protect your design. It might sound too good to be true, but it really is that simple.
TRY IT WITH STENCILS
These markers work amazing with vinyl stencils! It's easily our favorite way to use them. You can purchase them in our store or make your own with our digital downloads (get them for free by signing up for our email list). You have got to try it!
THE BEST CRAFTING WOOD
The best wood to use with a Scorch Marker is the same wood that is included in this bundle. We bring you sourwood slices from the USA. They are flat, sanded smooth and have the most beautiful bark. We would be surprised if your friends didn't ask you where got them.
GREAT FOR ORNAMENTS AND COASTERS
Everyone will be asking you where you got your coasters, it's always something that gets noticed. Perhaps you want to make ornaments this holiday season? Try using stencils or teaming up with friends and family to make some memories that get revisited every year.
OUR STORY
Scorch Marker was invented by Evan and his wife Sarah. Evan is a full-time firefighter and an avid woodworker. He developed the Scorch Marker in his very own woodshop while working on a commemorative plaque for the fire service. Since then he and his wife have expanded the business, shaking up the crafting industry in the process. The Scorch Marker PRO is a new and improved version of the original Scorch Marker
