This artwork celebrates Aleah’s journey, the friendships she has formed and the lasting connections she leaves behind.

Journey lines travel across Country and water, reflecting Aleah’s path from New York to Australia and her time with The Benevolent Society. A central gathering place encircled by traditional people symbols represent Aleah and the Benevolent team who became her friends and family.

Bright, joyful colours capture Aleah’s bubbly personality, quick wit and the happiness she brings to those around her. Smaller pathways speak to her curiosity, love of adventure and readiness for every side quest, while the strong connecting lines honour her caring nature and devotion to the people she loves.

As Aleah and Joe begin their journey home, these connections remain strong across distance. Her friendship, laughter and contribution will continue to live within the Benevolent community, even as she leaves a very big, Aleah-sized space behind.
