"Spending my entire childhood in the Arabian desert made every Summer trip to Latvia magical. I felt like a tiny forest fairy running through trees, smelling the flowers, and staring at moss. Leaving the desert behind the explore the forests of my country was incredible.
The Pelaski (Yarrow) is a flower that I kept seeing on my Summer trips, and it quickly became nostalgic. As a family, we'd collect them for medicinal tea, and during the Summer Solstice, all Latvians would come together to make flower braids, play, and appreciate nature.
I feel really happy knowing that what grows next to my door can cure a cold, or seeing wild plants grow rampant in a city. I'm slowly realising that medicine grows everywhere."
