Follow these tips below:
When lighting your candle for the first time burn until wax melts across entire surface to the sides of vessel this prevents tunneling and creates an even burn for the duration of the candle. This may take 3-6 hours.
Before Burning your candle, trim the wick at least ¼ inch. This prevents uneven burning, dripping, or flaring. Avoid drafts, vents, or air currents. This will help prevent rapid or uneven burning. This is very important to prevent the candles from smoking on the next burn or from burning the sides of the glass. We recommend trimming them to ¼ inch each time. Burn for 3-6 hours each time you light the candle. This will help the candle burn evenly and remember to trim wicks before each burn.
While Burning Never leave a burning candle unattended or lit while sleeping. If you are going to bed, be sure to extinguish all candles first. Never touch or move a burning candle. Never move a candle container when the wax is liquified. If you are burning multiple candles, place each candle at least three inches apart from one another. This is to ensure they don’t melt one another or create their own drafts. Extinguish a candle if the flame becomes too high or flickers repeatedly. Before re-lighting, let the candle cool, trim the wick, and check for unwanted drafts.
To reuse/repurpose glass jar:
• Place candle in freezer overnight.
• Run hot tap water over wax to loosen and then remove with wooden utensil.
• Remove wick tabs from base of glass
• If they do not remove easily, fill the glass with warm water and let them soak.
• Clean out glass with soap and water.
