Cedar Grid is part of Neutral Ground, a collection that bridges artful design with simplicity, offering warmth and balance to any space. Rooted in traditional Moroccan craftsmanship, each rug reflects a harmonious blend of heritage and modern living.
Paying homage to Morocco’s cedar forests, the design features a structured grid pattern that echoes the strength, rhythm, and resilience of the cedar trees that define these landscapes.
Handwoven by artisans in M’rirt, a village nestled in the Middle Atlas Mountains, each rug stands as a testament to enduring Moroccan craftsmanship. Led by Soukina, a second-generation artisan, this collective of 40 weavers continues a tradition founded by her late mother, Keltouma, in the early 2000s. Specializing in medium to high hand-knot rugs, they use a distinctive thick knotting technique that creates an exceptionally plush texture unique to the region.
Made from 100% live wool, Cedar Grid is dyed using carefully selected ingredients by a third-generation dyeing family. This meticulous process produces rich, lasting color while maintaining a deep commitment to sustainability, quality, and craft.
