Framed by a single pale arch and a low parapet, the view from the loggia opens past a leafy tree leaning in on the left. Beyond it a wide teal canal runs between peach and ochre houses with terracotta roofs, crossed in the middle distance by a small stone bridge. Cypresses and soft blue hills sit under a sky streaked with pink cloud.
Spacious and light, it opens up a living room wall and makes a gracious view over a sideboard in the dining room. From the Loggia belongs to the Venetian Quiet collection of nine paintings of one canal district, and it pairs with Across the Little Bridge and The Water Door.
