Pale flagstones curve away between climbing roses in shell pink and cream, with lavender and small white flowers spilling over the edges. The path leads past a terracotta urn toward a garden wall and its stone pillar, where cypresses rise against soft blue hills. Sunlight falls through the leaves in small patches, and the whole garden feels warm, still and gently overgrown.
Its tall, soft composition suits a narrow wall in the entryway or the space above a console table in the living room. The Rose Walk is one of nine paintings of a limestone farmhouse and its gardens in the French Country Light collection, and it pairs naturally with The Limestone Cottage and The Lily Pond.
