Heru (hair comb) carved from real beef bone. 15cm long 2 prong comb. Hei Matau (fish hook) symbolises strength, prosperity, good luck and safe passage over water.

Heru are used to hold and decorate hair in a bun (top knot). Traditionally the head was considered the most sacred part of the body. Because hair was believed to retain a person's spiritual essence the Heru served as a way to honour and protect that spiritual connection. 

3 Hook designs available with or without woven kete (bag). Kete makes a very nice gift presentation and safe storage.
