Each of these stunning basket planters is handmade by skilled women artisans in Gitarama, Rwanda, carrying forward a tradition that has been passed down for generations. Every piece begins with natural sweetgrass—fragrant with a gentle, honeyed aroma—tightly wrapped in sisal fibers that have been hand-dyed in rich, earthy tones.

The result is a one-of-a-kind work of functional art. The intricate weaving patterns showcase the artisan’s craftsmanship and cultural heritage, while the sturdy construction makes it perfect for housing a potted plant, organizing everyday items, or simply displaying as a statement piece in your home.

By choosing one, you’re not only bringing beauty into your space, but also supporting fair-trade practices and empowering women in rural Rwanda.
