If your chimney passes through an attic, this Attic Insulation Shield is mandatory. It creates a physical barrier that keeps blown-in or rolled insulation from resting against the hot chimney pipe, preventing fire hazards. The galvanized steel guard maintains the necessary 2-inch air space for cooling and proper draft performance.
