The FLW-132 Flow I-Beam is the flagship raft in RMR's lightweight Flow Series — built around one of the ideas that started Rocky Mountain Rafts in the first place: make good boats more accessible and get more people on the river.
At 13'2" long and 6'4" wide with 20" tubes, the Flow 132 gives families, recreational boaters, anglers, and small whitewater crews a roomy, responsive raft without the weight and cost of RMR's traditional heavy-duty models.
Unlike the Flow Drop Stitch, the I-Beam version comes standard with three removable thwarts and front foot cups, so you can paddle it as a traditional self-bailing raft straight out of the box. Remove the thwarts and add a compatible frame when you want to turn it into an oar rig.
Want a complete rowing setup? We recommend the Flow 132 Raft & 3-Bay Frame Bundle, which combines the raft with a custom-fit RMR 3-Bay frame and your choice of compatible oars.
The Flow Series was created for private boaters who want a real self-bailing raft that's lighter, easier to own, and more affordable than a traditional expedition boat.
The I-Beam version adds another advantage: versatility. Keep the thwarts installed and paddle it with a crew, or remove them and configure the boat around a rowing frame.
The FLW-132 comes standard with three thwarts, giving paddlers seating and bracing positions for a conventional paddle-raft setup.
Front foot cups provide additional bracing for the front paddlers while the removable RTA system makes it easy to change the interior layout without dealing with traditional lace-in thwarts.
At 13'2", the Flow is slightly longer and wider than RMR's traditional 13-foot raft. Combined with the lighter material package, that gives the Flow its own personality on the water: quick and responsive without giving up the stability families and recreational boaters want.
The Flow isn't only for whitewater. Its stable platform, three-thwart layout, and roomy 6'4" width make it equally useful for family floats, camping weekends, and relaxed days on the river.
Leave the boat in paddle configuration for simple fishing floats or remove the thwarts and add a rowing frame when you want a more dedicated oar-powered fishing setup.
The Flow uses 33 oz, 2,000-denier lightweight PVC and a smaller chafe strip to reduce unnecessary weight and make the boat easier to roll, carry, load, and transport.
That lighter construction is intentional. The Flow was designed around private boaters, weekend trips, family recreation, fishing, and moderate whitewater rather than trying to duplicate the material weight of RMR's heavy-duty expedition boats.
Every pound matters before and after the river. A lighter raft is easier to get into a vehicle, move around the garage, carry toward a put-in, roll after a trip, and store during the off-season.
If your typical weekend doesn't require an expedition-grade boat, there's no reason to haul expedition-grade weight.
The Flow uses Leafield D7 valves throughout its inflatable components for dependable inflation and maintenance.
The Flow I-Beam uses an inflatable I-beam floor rather than the rigid drop-stitch floor found in the FLWDS-132.
That gives the I-Beam version the softer, more familiar feel many paddlers expect from a traditional self-bailing raft.
An I-beam floor has more movement underfoot than a rigid drop-stitch platform. For paddling, family floats, and recreational whitewater, many boaters prefer that softer feel as the raft moves through waves and chop.
Water entering the boat drains through the self-bailing floor system instead of collecting around paddlers and gear.
Choose the I-Beam if you want the option to paddle the raft with a crew, prefer a traditional inflatable-floor feel, or want one boat that can move easily between family recreation and a rowing setup.
Choose the Drop Stitch if fishing is the priority and you want a rigid standing platform with an interior designed entirely around a frame.
The Flow 132 works perfectly well as a paddle raft, but its versatility doesn't stop there. Remove the thwarts and add the RMR 3-Bay frame when you want an oar-powered setup for fishing, gear hauling, weekend trips, or longer river days.
If you're starting from scratch, we recommend the Flow 132 Raft & 3-Bay Frame Bundle rather than buying the raft and rowing components individually.
The frame is hand-built in West Virginia specifically around the Flow 132 dimensions, eliminating much of the compatibility guesswork involved in piecing together a rowing system.
The Flow I-Beam is a strong choice if you:
You may prefer the Flow Drop Stitch if you:
You may want a heavier RMR model if you:
The FLW-132 comes standard with three removable thwarts and front foot cups, so no frame is required to use the boat as a conventional paddle raft.
RMR's removable RTA system eliminates traditional thwart lacing, making it easier to install or remove the thwarts as your setup changes.
Remove the thwarts and add the RMR 3-Bay Frame for the 13'2" Flow when you want to row instead of paddle.

The Flow I-Beam was designed as a versatile lightweight raft for private boaters, families, anglers, and recreational whitewater paddlers. Its three-thwart layout allows it to work as a conventional paddle raft, while frame compatibility lets it become an oar rig later.
The I-Beam comes with three removable thwarts and uses a softer traditional inflatable floor, making it the more natural choice for paddle rafting. The Drop Stitch has a rigid floor, no thwart attachments, and is designed more specifically around fishing and frame use.
Yes. Unlike the Drop Stitch version, the FLW-132 includes three removable thwarts and front foot cups, allowing it to be used as a conventional paddle raft.
Yes. Remove the thwarts and the Flow can be paired with RMR's 3-Bay frame for rowing, fishing, coolers, dry boxes, and other gear.
The Flow 132 Raft & 3-Bay Frame Bundle combines the I-Beam raft with a custom-fit 3-Bay aluminum frame and your choice of compatible oars. It's the simplest way to turn the Flow into a complete rowing setup.
Buy the raft alone if you primarily plan to paddle or already own compatible rowing equipment. Choose the bundle if you want to row the Flow and are starting without a frame and oars.
Yes. The RTA system allows the thwarts to be removed and reinstalled, so the same raft can move between paddle and rowing configurations.
Yes. Family use is one of the core purposes behind the Flow. Its roomy dimensions, three-thwart layout, and stable design make it useful for recreational family river trips when used in appropriate conditions.
Yes. It can be used for simple fishing floats in paddle configuration or paired with a compatible frame for a more dedicated oar-powered fishing setup.
You can stand on an inflated I-beam floor, but it is softer and moves more underfoot than the rigid Drop Stitch version. Anglers who frequently stand and cast may prefer the FLWDS-132.
An I-beam floor provides the softer, more traditional feel associated with self-bailing inflatable rafts. Many paddlers prefer that movement and feel for family recreation and paddle rafting.
Yes. All three thwarts use RMR's Rapid Thwart Attachment system and can be removed when you want to install a frame or change the interior layout.
The Flow Series was created to offer private boaters a more affordable, easier-to-own raft. Lighter PVC and a smaller chafe strip reduce the weight associated with carrying, loading, rolling, and storing the boat.
Yes — intentionally. The Flow is optimized around recreational use rather than trying to duplicate the material weight of RMR's expedition-oriented rafts. Customers whose primary use is demanding technical whitewater or intensive commercial service should consider one of RMR's heavier-duty models.
The Flow 132 is slightly longer and wider and uses a lighter material package. The result is a different style of boat focused on easier transportation, affordability, family recreation, fishing, and sporty private-boater performance.
Its inflatable, lightweight construction makes it easier to transport than a hard-sided boat or permanently rigged raft. Actual fit depends on vehicle dimensions, how the raft is packed, and how much additional gear you're carrying.
The FLW-132 includes the raft, three removable thwarts, front foot cups, valve wrench, and patch kit. Frame, oars, paddles, pump, PFDs, and other river equipment are sold separately unless specifically included with a package.
Flow boats include RMR's 3-year private boater warranty, subject to the manufacturer's complete warranty terms.
