Each mystery box holds a hand selected mix of stones in different sizes, shapes and types, so opening it is a small treasure hunt.
Use it to start or grow a collection, share the stones with friends or family, or set them out in bowls and grids around the house. A box may include clusters, points, slices, pendants, beads, tumbled stones, rough stones and polished stones.
Stones can include agate, amethyst, rose quartz, sodalite, geodes, fluorite, calcite, aventurine, kyanite and obsidian, among others. Some pieces are large and some small, and some may have cracks, breaks or chipped corners.
Many stones in a mix like this, such as amethyst, agate and rose quartz, are forms of quartz with a hardness of about 7. Softer stones such as calcite and fluorite, at 3 and 4 on the Mohs scale, scratch more easily, so store them apart from harder pieces.
