The Roamwild PestOff Rat Proof Chicken Feeder stops rats, pigeons and crows stealing your chicken feed. Its feeding ports are individually spring-loaded: they stay open for the weight of a chicken and shut for lighter feed thieves, so feed lasts longer and the coop attracts fewer pests. No adjustments are needed. $49.99 with free US shipping from Columbus, Ohio.

How it works

Each port sits on its own spring and is weight-activated, the same patented PestOff principle used in Roamwild's squirrel proof bird feeders. Chickens feed normally; rats, pigeons and crows cannot get to the feed. There is nothing to calibrate and no training required.
