Mexican Mint Marigold (Tagetes lucida) - Often called Spanish Tarragon in the culinary world or Sweet Mace. This species is grown in most northern latitudes as an annual but some folks on Vancouver Island are lucky enough to call it a long-lived perennial. Plants have beautiful dark green glossy leaves with small highly aromatic golden-orange flowers.

30 seeds per packet

Growing Information: Start indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds on the soil surface or lightly cover with 1–2 mm of soil/vermiculite. Keep soil moist and in bright light. Seeds germinate in 7–14 days.

Harden off seedlings for 7–10 days before transplanting outdoors after frost. Space plants 30–45 cm apart in full sun with well-drained soil. This taller, upright marigold thrives in borders or sunny garden beds.
