This blouse from 1938 pairs a unique front yoke with side panels that are gathered into a graceful, flattering curve, and finishes with a mid-length peplum. The front buttons are purely decorative, and a side seam opening can be finished with a placket or zipper. It's a lovely vintage blouse pattern for sewers who want a distinctive 1930s silhouette. Like all of our patterns, it is replicated directly from the original source material of the period.
Suggested fabrics: cotton, linen, silk, lace, canton crepe, faille, rayon, or chiffon.
Print-at-home page counts: 32–38" bust is 27 pages, 40–46" is 29 pages, and 48–54" is 33 pages.
This pattern was graded up and down from the original size 38" bust, which was drafted for a B cup. The larger sizes have not been redrafted. If you're sewing 46" to 54" bust, you may need to adjust the length, neck width, shoulder width, and side opening length. A full bust adjustment may be needed above a B cup.
