This design in a light soft texture of blended cotton and linen has been reproduced from 17th century Italian documents orginally embroidered with chenilles in opulent colours. This colorway features a gold gargoyle-damask deign on a ground of soft brick red-brown. A petite matching brick red-brown rope unites the sides and frames the design.
