blink-182 – Cheshire Cat (CD) • relix.shop

Cheshire Cat captures blink-182 before the arena takeover, when they were still a scrappy San Diego punk trio self-releasing records and playing the kind of sweaty small venues that breed cult followings. The raw, caffeinated energy here connects directly to the Southern California punk lineage of the Descendents and Bad Religion, and hearing it alongside the singles that followed makes clear just how fully formed the band's voice already was.

blink-182's 1st indie album, released Feb. 1995, has sold over 150,000; Dude Ranch has sold over 800,000. Cheshire Cat contains the singles "M+M's" and "Wasting Time." Other tracks include "Fentoozler," "Peggy Sue," "Does My Breath Smell?," "Toast And Bananas," "Just About Done" and more.
