How the three work together

1. Compost. Wave a foot at the sensor and drop in scraps any time, including meat, fish and dairy. Living microbes work 24/7 and real compost is ready in about 30 days.
2. Sift. Screen the harvest to the texture you need: fine mesh for seed starting and potting, coarse for mulching. Anything oversize goes back into the machine.
3. Restart only if you ever need to. Keep the spare Compost Starter on the shelf. If the colony needs a fresh start, harvest down to the MIN line, pour in the Starter 2.0 pack with its booster and 50 to 60 oz of water, and let it activate for about a day before feeding.
