Wahoo KICKR ROLLR

Wahoo KICKR ROLLR Smart Roller Trainer

The Wahoo KICKR ROLLR Smart Roller Trainer combines the ride feel of KICKR with the natural motion of rollers, a roller trainer your bike goes onto whole. There are no thru axles to fuss with and no rear wheel to remove. Adjust the wheelbase to your bike, then secure the front tire in the gripper. Dual rollers let the rear wheel move naturally and cut tire slip, however hard you push. With your bike's ANT+ power meter paired through Power Meter Connect, the ROLLR controls resistance up to 1,500 watts and a 10% grade. Power then reads within +/-1% of that meter. The ROLLR also works with every drivetrain.

Without a power meter, the ROLLR still lets you train with power. Its onboard reading stays consistent on the same equipment for Wahoo app routes and structured workouts, while resistance holds steady and speed goes out to your app.

Inside the KICKR ROLLR

How it works

Dual-roller design
Two rollers cradle the rear tire, freeing the wheel to move the way it does on the road while reducing slip under hard efforts. The design won the Fit Sport, Good Design, Fast Company Innovation by Design, IDA Design Gold and IDEA Silver awards in 2023.
Five 2023 design awards
Optimized flywheel technology
A 10.5 lb flywheel works with the dual rollers to give riders the precise inertia needed to replicate the feeling of riding on the road.

Power Meter Connect
Paired to your bike's ANT+ power meter, the ROLLR runs level, ERG and simulation modes from that meter's data. No spin-down calibration is needed: the ROLLR relies on the power meter's own calibration.
ANT+ power meters
Safety tire gripper
The front tire gripper keeps the bike upright and secure, accepting tires up to 2.1 in. (53 mm). Getting on and off stays easy, and the bike stays steady even when you sprint.
Up to 2.1 in.

Setting it up

How to use it

Quick setup

From the road to the rollers

Open the quick-adjust wheelbase clamp, slide the wheel chocks to match your bike and drop the front wheel into the stabilizing block. Turn the Tire Gripper knob until the bike feels as steady as you like, and the rear wheel rides on the rollers.

  • A smooth tread pattern is recommended
  • Standard road tires, no trainer-specific tire

Power and resistance

Power with or without a meter

Ride on the onboard power for Wahoo app routes and workouts, where readings stay consistent on the same equipment. When you want race-ready numbers, Power Meter Connect switches the ROLLR over to your bike's own power meter.

  • Unplugged, it rides as traditional rollers with inertial resistance up to 450 W
  • Cadence data needs a power meter or a cadence sensor
  • Measures speed and distance

Frequently asked questions

The KICKR ROLLR smart bike rollers, an AC power adapter and the owner's manual.
No. The ROLLR gives consistent onboard power for training on the same setup. A power meter is not included, and pairing your bike's ANT+ meter through Power Meter Connect gives race-ready data within +/-1% of it, with controlled resistance in level, ERG and simulation modes.
It measures 31.5 in. wide at the front and 58 to 67 in. long, depending on the wheelbase setting, about 15 to 20 sq. ft. of floor. Leave extra clearance on all sides for getting on and off, airflow and a fan or mat.
Bikes with a wheelbase from 950 to 1100 mm and tires up to 2.1 in. (53 mm) fit, with disc or rim brakes and any drivetrain. There is nothing to modify on the bike before it goes on.
It is rated to a maximum rider weight of 250 lb (113 kg), and the ROLLR itself weighs 50 lb (23 kg).
Unfold the front assembly on a level surface and connect the rear section with the quick-release lever and securing screws. Adjust the wheelbase clamp, seat the front wheel and fine-tune the Tire Gripper. Connect the power adapter for full resistance, then pair with the Wahoo app for firmware updates and configuration.
Yes, along with ROUVY, TrainingPeaks, MyWhoosh, KinoMap and the Wahoo app. It also pairs with the KICKR Headwind smart fan and works with the KICKR Indoor Cycling Desk Stand.
Wipe the surfaces with a soft, damp cloth after sweaty sessions and clear any debris from the rollers and frame. Isopropyl alcohol is safe for deeper cleaning, and there is no drivetrain to adjust.
Wahoo backs the KICKR ROLLR with a one-year warranty.
