The Grove Statue takes the form of an olive tree, its hand-cast branches finished in gold leaf and hung with olives in dark bronze. Composed almost flat, like a tree drawn in metal, the silhouette spreads unevenly from a single narrow trunk, the dark fruit scattered through the canopy. A block of polished Carrara marble grounds the composition, and a felted bottom protects the surface below. Suited to a mantel, entry table, or windowsill, the Grove Statue shows its drawn profile best set against a wall.
