The Jobe Megaflow Trough Valve is a high-flow water trough float valve built for the automatic filling of livestock troughs and water storage tanks. It's configured for underwater mounting only — which Jobe says helps avoid freezing and makes the valve less prone to stock damage.
The float connects to the valve with a nylon cord. When the water level drops, the float opens a small pilot valve, which activates the main diaphragm valve for high flow and a positive on/off action. An inlet filter is built in, and the valve locks off with a cord lock.
The Megaflow mounts side or bottom entry, and comes in 1/2", 3/4", 1" and 1-1/4" inlets with short-tail and long-tail options — long tails are supplied with a backnut and seal washer for through-wall mounting. Built from corrosion-resistant materials with 304 stainless steel hardware, it's a good choice wherever a compact, robust, high-flow valve is needed.
Underwater Mounting
Helps avoid freezing and keeps the valve out of reach of livestock.
High-Flow Pilot-Operated Design
Float-operated pilot valve drives the main diaphragm for fast refills.
Positive On/Off
Clean opening and closing as the float rises and falls.
Built-In Inlet Filter
Filters incoming water at the valve.
Cord Lock
Lock the valve off whenever you need to.

Why mount a trough valve underwater?
Jobe notes underwater installation helps avoid freezing and makes the valve less prone to stock damage. Check that underwater mounting is allowed by your local regulations before installing.
How is the Megaflow different from the Topaz?
The Megaflow mounts underwater only (side or bottom entry) with its float on a cord. The Jobe Topaz Float Valve mounts above or below water, top, side or bottom.
Will it work on low-pressure systems?
The Megaflow operates from 5 psi (0.3 bar) up to 150 psi (10 bar).
Out of sight, out of reach, always flowing — the Jobe Megaflow keeps your troughs full.
