The Nofence N3 Cattle Collar is the next generation of the most field-tested virtual fence on the market — and it's the only virtual fence Powerflex recommends. We vetted the options, put collars in the hands of producers in our own customer base, and Nofence is what held up on real ground with real cattle. The N3 is what they built next: a maintenance-free collar carrying a 10-year warranty, the longest Nofence has ever put on a product.
Set virtual boundaries in the free Nofence app and the collar guides each animal with an escalating audio warning before any mild electric pulse — so your herd learns the line and stays put. No posts, no wire, no fence to build on ground that was never going to pay for one.
Steep, brushy and rocky ground that could never be physically fenced becomes grazable. Powerflex producers use virtual fence for targeted brush and weed control on terrain that would never pencil out with wire — creek bottoms, rocky ridges, leased parcels with no infrastructure and no reason to set posts. It has also become the standard tool for contract grazing on solar sites and public ground: multiple sites, one app, no infrastructure left behind when the job is done.
We recommended Nofence because we watched it work, on real operations, with real animals.
The first N3 collars ship in January 2027. Nofence is taking pre-orders now at an introductory price, held until October 31 or while supplies last. If you are planning a 2027 grazing season around virtual fence, this is the window.
If you need collars before then, you do not want the N3. The Nofence C2.5 cattle collar is in stock now and ships on our normal lead time. It is the collar currently running on most of the operations we have watched. Call us and we will tell you honestly which one fits your calendar — there is no reason to wait fifteen months for a collar if you are turning out next spring.
Full access to the Nofence app with new features delivered automatically, a 10-year collar warranty, a U.S.-based support team, and a money-back guarantee if the system is not right for your operation. A per-collar subscription is managed directly through Nofence. One collar per animal. Those terms are administered by Nofence, not by Powerflex.
Grants, cost-share and financing can apply to virtual fencing depending on your state, herd size and operation. See our EQIP cost-share and funding guide for how producers are getting fencing and water infrastructure funded, and talk to us before you order.
