A lost ground, back on the map. The Baseball Ground, home of Derby County from 1895-1997, printed as a raised 3D model of the ground as it stood in its final years, with the terraced streets of Pear Tree spread out around it. Every stand is modelled from the real ground, with its own shape, height and roof, and the seats picked out in silver.
There is no name or lettering on it, just the map, edge to edge: anyone who stood on those terraces will know it at a glance. A gift for a fan who remembers the old ground, a first-game memory, or a then-and-now pair with the new stadium.
Unofficial fan art. A map of the place as it was, made from public map data. It carries no club crest or logo and is not made, approved or licensed by Derby County.
Printed in-house on our Bambu Lab 3D printers in three parts, then assembled by hand. The map tile carries the streets, buildings and the white stand structures (PLA Matte Ivory White) with the pitch and parks in Grass Green. The seating bowl is printed separately in Bambu PLA Matte Ash Gray (11102), the colour the real seats were, and set into the tile. The roof, with the roofs of its tight, steep stands, is printed on its own and locks on last with small locating pegs. Printing the parts separately keeps every row, roof line and edge crisp. The finished tile is set into a black wooden A5 frame, where it sits under the frame's lip with no glass in front, so you see and feel the relief.
Each one is made to order in our UK studio and sent Tracked (UK delivery 2-3 working days once dispatched).
