Rust Results Vary More Than Any Other Stain
Orange staining on pavers comes from three places: a metal object left sitting out, sprinkler water high in iron, or fertilizer granules thrown by a spreader. All three respond differently, and how deep the stain has penetrated matters more than how dark it looks.
A sample is the honest way to find out whether your stain will clear in one soak or needs several. It also lets you check for any lightening on a hidden paver, which matters because rust removers work by chemically converting the iron.
How to Use the Sample
- Pick a representative rust mark, ideally not the worst one
- Apply ready to use, do not dilute
- Let it soak two to three minutes per the Alliance label
- Agitate and rinse thoroughly with water
- Let the paver dry completely, then repeat if the stain has faded but not cleared
What It Removes
Alliance formulates this without muriatic acid, so it clears the stain without the etching that comes with acid washing.
- Rust from furniture legs, rebar and fasteners
- Iron staining from well and sprinkler water
- Fertilizer burn marks on patios
- Hard water spotting
