Nelumbo nucifera 'Elite', medium lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

Elite is a dependable bloomer with an unusual mix of soft pink, creamy yellow and warm peach. The flowers are full and ruffled, deeper pink on the outer petals and fading to a buttery color toward the center, where the seedpod is green and pink.

It flowers often through the season. It reaches medium height but does well in a container, so you don't need a big pond for it. Give it a sunny spot and the right size pot.

As a medium lotus, this one settles at 6 to 18 inches of water over the crown once established.
