Philodendron Gloriosum is one of the most celebrated rare Philodendrons in the collector world. Its large, velvety, heart-shaped leaves are a deep, matte green with stunning white veins that radiate outward from the midrib like a hand-painted map. The surface has a soft, suede-like texture that makes it irresistible to touch. It is a terrestrial creeper rather than a climber, spreading slowly along the soil surface and unfurling new leaves that are consistently breathtaking.

Good for beginners? It requires more attention than beginner plants. Gloriosum prefers consistent humidity, warmth, and bright indirect light. It is best suited to plant enthusiasts who are ready to invest in caring for something genuinely rare and special.

Safe for cats and dogs? Philodendrons are toxic to pets if ingested. Keep out of reach of cats and dogs, or explore our pet-safe plant collection.

Light needs: Bright indirect light keeps the velvety texture and white veining most vivid and the growth most consistent. Avoid direct sun which can bleach the dark, matte leaf surface. Insufficient light causes very slow growth.

Care at a glance: Keep soil lightly and evenly moist. Never let it dry out completely. High humidity is important. Feed monthly in spring and summer. As a terrestrial creeper it spreads horizontally rather than climbing.
